During the year from 24th Nov 2017 we celebrated Param Pujya Bhaishree's 75th Birthday and his 25th year of Gurupad. We celebrate him through his virtues, contemplating them, being inspired and manifesting them within ourselves, becoming one with Bhaishree's inner being.

What is it, that we as human beings want not only out of life but also from ourselves? What is it, that will help us fill that void within and quell our restlessness?

If life and existence is a journey, most of us seem to be wandering about, not sure as to where we are headed and where we would finally reach.

When we look back at the road or walk through the bylanes of the past, we see so many things left unfinished. Scores of tasks, that could have been done differently and numerous moments that could have been utilized efficiently.  

But, when we look at Param Pujya Bhaishree’s life, all we see is aptness. Not a single second of his life remains unutilized. Every chore is refined, not only with precision but detailed care. His speech is measured and soft. His eyes are filled with love for all those around him. Every moment of his being is aglow with the bliss of inner radiance.

So absolute is he, that just by being close to him we too feel complete.

What is it about him that draws us to him? Why do we suddenly feel calm in his presence? Why does his vision still our minds? Why does being away from him feel so painful?

Over the past year, we have been on an invigorating journey of inner transformation.

The 150th Birth Anniversary celebration of Param Krupalu Dev Shrimad Rajchandra has now come to a close. During the year, we had each strived to live the goals we had set.

Inspiring each other, we have marched forward on the path of salvation. Now that we are all internally alert, let us take bigger steps and break this cycle of birth and death.

Just as the sun sets to make way for the moon; we, the disciples of Raj Saubhag Ashram Sayla, will be forging ahead, by conducting pious celebrations across the year as our idolized Param Pujya Bhaishree enters into his 75th glorious year.

For the whole of this next year, we will resolve to sing his virtues and progressively move ahead on this path of Inner Transformation.

Together we will contemplate upon twelve delightful virtues, which draw us towards him and makes Param Pujya Bhaishree so divinely beautiful.

These virtues illustrate the infinitely sparkling excellence of his luminous soul. Each month, one of the twelve virtues will be shared in this newsletter. Contemplating and imbibing these, we too can sow, sprout and grow these alluring virtues within ourselves.

These virtues will give us the potency to overcome all our failings. Inner transformation is possible! And when we prosper, we too will transform into pure divinity, just like our Master, Param Pujya Bhaishree.

Sametshikhar

Last but not the least, we are going on a pilgrimage to the Mecca for the Jains; Sametshikhar. Disciples, across the world, would be a part of this ambrosial pilgrimage.

Param Pujya Bhaishree has, with accustomed compassion, decided to travel by train, enabling disciples to join in large numbers and spend divine moments with him.  

It is only the power of God that leads us to exaltation and glory, so let us devote ourselves and celebrate this power. Let us make up our mind to let God strengthen our resolve. Just as how a candle cannot burn without fire, one cannot achieve salvation without a true Saviour.

‘Samsara’ in Sanskrit means wandering. We are so entangled in this cyclic birth and death that it is almost impossible to break free. They say that even a chivalrous warrior who has won many wars finds it difficult to cut through these entrapments.

When breaking a manmade congregate it could be arduous, even for a valiant warrior like Abhimanyu, without the presence of his benefactors, Lord Krishna and Arjun, one can only envisage how onerous it would be to break the shackles of our infinite 'sansaric' meanderings without a true saviour.

Only distinctive souls like Param Pujya Bhaishree, who have astounding willpower and unequivocal self-control can cut through these bondages of attachment and immerse themselves in the bliss within. Their able shelter gives us the purpose of our existence and empowers us to sever through this recurring convoluted existence.

પ. પૂ. ભાઈશ્રીના  જ્ઞાન જીવનના હીરક મહોત્સવની  ઉજવણી

હે સદગુરુ ભગવાન ! તમારા પગલે પગલે, પા પા પગલી માંડી છે . તમારા પવિત્ર પગલાં  જે દિશામાં પડ્યાં છે એ જ દિશામાં મારી મંઝિલ રહી છે.  

આગામી આખું વર્ષ :  આત્માની ભવ્ય ઉજવણી, ખંત પૂર્વકનો પુરુષાર્થ, કેવળ પરિવર્તન જ નહિ, રૂપાંતરિત થવાનો દ્રઢ સંકલ્પ   

એવું શું છે કે જે આ મનુષ્ય ભવના બાહ્ય જીવનમાંથી જ નહિ પણ આપણા અંતરમાંથી આપણે પ્રાપ્ત કરવું  છે? એવું શું છે કે જે અંતરમાં ચાલતા અસંતોષ અને અસ્થિરતાના તોફાનને શાંત કરીને પરમ શાંતિ અને આનંદથી ભરી દે?

‘’ પ્રભુજી, દયા કરો, ખાલી ઘટમેં પ્રેમ ભરો. ”

આપણે અસ્તિત્વ ધરાવીએ છીએ, જીવન જીવીએ છીએ પણ, ક્યાં જવું છે, ક્યાં જઈ  રહ્યાં  છીએ અને અંતે ક્યાં પહોંચી જઈશું એ મોટા ભાગના મનુષ્યો જાણતાં નથી.  

જીવન ગતિશીલ છે, અન્ય માટે તો ઠીક, જીવને પોતાના માટે સમય નથી. વર્તમાન જીવનમાં પાછળ વળીને જોઈએ તો અત્યાર સુધી જેટલું ચાલ્યા અને પંથ કપાયો તેમાં કેટલાંએ કાર્યો અધૂરા છોડી દીધાં, અથવા જે કર્યું એ કદાચ જુદી રીતે કરી શક્યા હોત. જુદી રીતે કરવાથી  માત્ર પોતાનું જ ભલું નહિ પણ  સર્વનું કલ્યાણ થઇ શક્યું હોત.  વીતેલા સમયને આપણે વધુ અસરકારક, વધુ કાર્યક્ષમ બનાવી શક્યા હોત.       

જયારે આપણે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીના જીવન પ્રત્યે દ્રષ્ટિ કરીએ છીએ તો બધું જ સ્વચ્છ, સુવ્યવસ્થિત, આધ્યાત્મિક  અને દિવ્ય દેખાય છે. મનુષ્ય ભવની દુર્લભતા બરાબર સમજીને પ્રમાદરહિત તેઓ સમયનો સદુપયોગ કરે છે. કોઈપણ કાર્ય હોય, નાનું કે મોટું, તેમની એકાગ્રતા, તેમનું ધ્યાન તેમાં બરાબર પરોવાયેલું હોય.  અખૂટ ધીરજના સ્વામી તેઓ વિચારીને બોલે. અલ્પભાષી, તેમની વાણી ખૂબ મૃદુ અને કોમળ, નેત્રોમાં અપાર કરુણા અને પ્રેમ, અને ચહેરા પર સૌમ્ય તેજસ્વિતા, અંદરના આનંદનો પ્રકાશ તેમના સમગ્ર વ્યક્તિત્વમાં અનુભવાય છે.  ભાઈશ્રી  એવા તો પૂર્ણ છે કે, એમની સાથે હોઈએ ત્યારે આપણે પણ પવિત્રતા  અને પૂર્ણતાનો અનુભવ કરતાં હોઈએ છીએ.

પ. પૂ. ભાઈશ્રી પાસે એવું તે શું છે કે જે સહુને એમની પાસે દોરે છે?  કેમ એમની હાજરીમાં આપણે પણ ઠરી જઈએ છીએ અને નિરામય શાંતિનો અનુભવ કરીએ છીએ? એમની દ્રષ્ટિ સાથે દ્રષ્ટિ મળતાં આપણું મન કઈ રીતે સ્થિર થઇ જાય છે?   

ગયા આખા વર્ષ દરમ્યાન આપણે પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવના જન્મનું ૧૫૦મું વર્ષ ઉજવ્યું અને તે ઉજવણી વધુ આંતરિક હતી. રૂપાંતરિત થવાનો એક રૂડો પ્રયોગ આપણે સહુએ શરુ કર્યો.  ૧૫૦મું  વર્ષ ભલે પૂરું થયું પણ આપણી ઉજવણી ચાલુ રહેશે. ૨૪ નવેમ્બર ૨૦૧૭ના દિવસે પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રી ૭૫માં વર્ષમાં પ્રવેશ કરે છે. તેમનાં વાત્સલ્યભર્યા સાનિધ્યમાં આપણે સહુ એકબીજાની પ્રેરણા અને શક્તિ બનીને અધ્યાત્મના શિખરો સર કરવાના પુરુષાર્થમાં આગળ વધીશું. જન્મ મરણના આ ચક્રવ્યુહને તોડી કાયમની સ્વતંત્રતા મેળવીશું.
 
સૂર્યાસ્ત થતાં જ ચંદ્રમા ખીલે છે. એક દીવો પ્રજ્વલિત હોય ને તે બુઝાય તે પહેલાં બીજો પ્રદીપ્ત કરવામાં આવે છે,  પુસ્તક વાંચતા, એક પ્રકરણ પૂરું થાય અને આપણે બીજા પ્રકરણમાં રસપૂર્વક અને સહજ રીતે પ્રવેશીએ એવી આ ઘટના છે. ઉજવણીનું એક વર્ષ પૂરું થયું ને બીજું શરુ. નિયમિતતા, સંકલ્પશક્તિ અને ગુરુભક્તિનો ઉત્સાહ કેળવીને આપણે આગળ વધવાનું છે.  
 

ઉજવણીના થોડા પાસાઓ :
 
 
પુરુષાર્થનું પીઠબળ : ભાઇશ્રીમાં રહેલા અગણિત ગુણોમાંના રત્ન સમાન ૧૨ ગુણોને સૂક્ષ્મ રીતે વિચારી જીવનમાં ખીલવવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરીશું. દર મહિને આ બાર ગુણોમાંના એક ગુણની વાત કરીશું. તે ગુણ ભાઇશ્રીમાં કેટલો અધિક વિકસિત  થયો છે તે જ્યારે સમજીશું ત્યારે  આપણા અંતરમાં ભાઈશ્રી પ્રત્યે અઢળક પૂજ્ય ભાવ વેદાશે.  ભાઈશ્રીનું દિવ્ય ચરિત્ર કેટલું સુંદર, મનમોહક અને અપ્રતિમ છે, તેની જાણ થશે. આપણે એમનામાં ઓતપ્રોત થઈશું. તેમના ગુણો ગાતાં આપણી ચેતના તે ગુણોથી રંગાશે.
 
અંતરમર્મ : દરરોજ  ભાઇશ્રીના અર્થપૂર્ણ બોધવચનો આપણે મુમુક્ષુઓને મોકલીશું. તે વચનોને વાગોળતા તેમાંથી પુરુષાર્થની શક્તિ પ્રાપ્ત થશે. તે વચનો અંતરમાં સ્થિર કરીને જીવન જીવીશું. દિવસ દરમ્યાન આવતી મુશ્કેલીઓનો  શાંતિપૂર્વક સામનો કરવા માટે તે વચન બળ આપશે. ગુરુના વચનો દ્વારા આત્માનું પ્રક્ષાલન કરતા રહીએ તો આપણા આત્મા પર રહેલા તમામ કર્મો તેમજ દોષો  દૂર થઇ જાય.   
 
નિરંજન યાર મોહે કૈસે મિલેંગે : આ ઉજવણીના ભાગ રૂપે,  આધ્યાત્મિક ભજનોની એક નવી સીડી બનાવવામાં આવી છે. પરમ પૂજ્ય ભાઈશ્રીના જન્મ દિવસની ઉજવણીને દિવસે તે અનાવરિત થશે. જે પદો તેમાં લેવામાં આવ્યા છે તે બધાં આમ તો ઘણાં વર્ષો પહેલાં રચાયેલા છે પણ છતાં તે પ્રચલિત ન હોવાને કારણે, કોઈએ સાંભળ્યા નહિ હોય. પદોના અર્થ ઉચ્ચતમ ભાવ જગાડશે અને આપણે અલૌકિક આધ્યાત્મિક્તાને અનુભવીશું. રાગ, લય, સૂર અને સંગીત બધું જ પદના અર્થને વધુ ઉઘાડે છે.      
 
નિરંજન, સતના પ્રેમમાં : આ છે ભાઈશ્રી ઉપરની ૩૫ મિનિટની  ફિલ્મ, તે જોતાં ભાઇશ્રીનો ગુણાત્મક પરિચય થશે. તે જોયા બાદ એમ થશે કે, હું ધ્યાનમાં બેસી જાઉં. તેમની આધ્યાત્મિક ઊંચાઈનો લેશ પણ આ ફિલ્મ જોતાં ખ્યાલ આવશે.  સાદગી, સરળતા, વિનમ્રતા, સમભાવ જેવા અદ્ભુત ગુણોનો મહિમા અંતરમાં વેદાશે અને આપણે કેટલા અધિક ભાગ્યશાળી છીએ તેની ખાતરી થશે. તેમના પ્રત્યેનું આપણું શ્રધ્ધાન ઘણું વધી જશે.      
 
ધન્ય ક્ષણો : પારસમણિનો પવિત્ર સ્પર્શ લોઢાને કંચન બનાવે છે પણ સજીવન મૂર્તિ એવા પ્રત્યક્ષ સદગુરુનો સંગ,  કથીરને સોનું નહિ, પોતાના જેવા સંત બનાવી દે છે.  આ જ તો છે ચમત્કાર. જયારે જીવ રૂપાંતરિત થાય છે ત્યારે પોતાના સદગુરુ પ્રત્યે અઢળક પ્રેમભક્તિ જાગે છે. બ્રહ્મનિષ્ઠ આત્માઓ ભાઈશ્રી વિષે પોતાના હાર્દિક ભાવો  અભિવ્યક્ત કરશે. સુકોમળ હૃદયની તે પ્રેમભક્તિ સમયાંતરે આપણે માણીશું. તે ભાવોમાં નાહીને આપણે પવિત્ર થઈશું.   
 
પીનેકેલ ઓફ સ્પિરિચુએલિટી - બીજી આવૃત્તિનું અનાવરણ : ૧૭ વર્ષ પહેલાં પીનેકેલ ઓફ સ્પિરિચુએલિટી નામનું અંગ્રેજી પુસ્તક પ્રકાશિત કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવનું જીવન, સુંદર ચિત્રો સાથે તેમાં દર્શિત થયું છે. તેની બીજી આવૃત્તિ કોઈ જુદા સ્વરૂપમાં પ્રગટ થશે.  તેનું અનાવરણ આપણે ૨૬ નવેમ્બરએ ભાઈશ્રીના જન્મદિવસની ઉજવણી વખતે કરવાના છીએ.    
 
શ્રીમદ રાજચંદ્ર એન્ડ ગાંધીજી : જન્મ દિવસની ઉજવણીના દિવસે પદ્મશ્રી કુમારપાળ દેસાઈએ લખેલા ગુજરાતી પુસ્તકનો  અંગ્રેજી અનુવાદ પણ પ્રગટ થશે. આશ્રમના યુ કે સ્થિત યુવા મુમુક્ષુઓએ અથાગ પરિશ્રમ કરીને આ પુસ્તકને તૈયાર કર્યું છે. ગાંધીજી અને પરમકૃપાળુ દેવના આધ્યાત્મિક સંબંધ ઉપર પ્રકાશ પાડતું આ એક ઉત્તમ પુસ્તક ભવિષ્યમાં લેખાશે.  
 
સમેતશિખર ધર્મયાત્રા : આ તીર્થભૂમિનું ગૌરવ શબ્દોમાં આલેખી શકાય એમ નથી. જૈન ધર્મને માનનારાઓ  માટે તે સિધ્ધભૂમિ છે. અનંત આત્માઓ ત્યાંથી સિદ્ધગતિને વરેલા છે. ૨૦૧૮ના નવા વર્ષનો પ્રારંભ તેની ધર્મયાત્રાથી થશે. દેશ પરદેશના મુમુક્ષુઓ તેમાં જોડાવાના છે. મુસાફરી લાંબી હોવા છતાં ભાઈશ્રી પ્લેનમાં નહિ પણ ટ્રેનમાં જવાનાં છે જેથી બધાં મુમુક્ષુઓ તેમાં જોડાઈ  શકે અને તેમની સાથે ભાઈશ્રી વધારે સમય રહી શકે.   
 
ઈશ્વરી શક્તિ આપણી અંદર ભરપૂર રહેલી છે. પ્રમાદને કારણે તે શક્તિ અત્યારે સુષુપ્ત અવસ્થામાં ઢંકાયેલી છે. આપણે જાગૃત થઈએ અને તે શક્તિને કાર્યકારી બનાવીએ. આ ઉજવણી એ આપણી અંદર ધરબાયેલી શક્તિની ઉજવણી છે માટે તેને ઢંઢોળી, ઉજાગર કરી આનંદઉત્સવમાં જોડી દઈએ. આપણે નિર્ણય કરીએ અને તે  નિર્ણય અડગ નિશ્ચય બને એવી કૃપા ભગવાન પાસે માંગીએ. શિષ્ય માટે સદગુરુ એ જ તેના ભગવાન છે. તેમની પાસેથી એક તણખલું  માંગી આપણે ઝળાહળાં થઇ જઇએ.

અભિમન્યુ જેવો વીર અને પરાક્રમી યોદ્ધો પણ કુરુક્ષેત્રના રણમેદાનમાં મામા શકુનિ તેમજ દુર્યોધને રચેલા  સપ્તભેદી ચક્રવ્યુહમાં ફસાયો હતો.  શૂરવીરની જેમ તે લડયો પણ ભગવાન કૃષ્ણ અને પિતા અર્જુનના માર્ગદર્શન વગર અંતે તે વીરગતિને પામ્યો. તે ચક્રવ્યુહ કરતાં અનેક ઘણું વધુ વિષમ અને જટિલ સંસાર ભ્રમણનું ચક્રવ્યૂહ છે. પોતે કરેલા કર્મોથી સર્જાયેલા આ ગૂંચવણભર્યા  ચક્રવ્યુહમાં અનંત કાળથી અનંત જીવાત્માઓ જકડાયેલા છે. અનંત દુઃખને ભોગવતા એવા આ સંસાર ચક્રવ્યુહને તોડવાનું મહાભગીરથ કાર્ય સત્પુરુષની નિશ્રામાં રહેલા કોઈ દ્રઢ મનોબળધારી અને સંપૂર્ણ સંયમી એવા યોગી પુરુષ ્જ કરી શકે છે.  પરમ વૈરાગ્ય ભાવને ધારણ કરી,  મોહના બંધનોને તોડી,  સત્યનિષ્ઠ પુરુષાર્થ સાધી, એક આત્મ લક્ષ્ય કેળવીને, પ. પૂ. ભાઇશ્રીએ આ ભવભ્રમણ કરાવતું ચક્રવ્યુહ તોડયું છે અને હવે  જ્ઞાનભાવમાં રહીને, સમભાવ સાથેનું આદર્શ  જીવન જીવી રહ્યા છે.

પ. પૂ. ભાઈશ્રીની  શ્રેયસ્કારી નિશ્રા  અને આત્મલક્ષી બોધ જેણે પ્રાપ્ત કર્યો છે  તે મુમુક્ષુમાં તેમના જેવાં જ સામર્થ્ય અને ઐશ્વર્યનો આવિર્ભાવ થશે. બોધિદુર્લભ કાળમાં આવું શરણ મળ્યું છે, તેની ધન્યતા અનુભવી તેમણે ચીંધેલા માર્ગે આપણે ઉત્સાહપૂર્વક ચાલતા રહીએ એવો સંકલ્પ કરીએ. પ. પૂ. ભાઇશ્રીના 75મા જન્મવર્ષના મહોત્સવની ઉજવણીના પ્રતીકરૂપે જે સંકેતચિહ્નનું સર્જન કરવામાં આવ્યું છે તેમાં આ ભવચક્રને તોડવાનો ભાવ રહેલો છે. પ. પૂ. ભાઇશ્રીના જ્ઞાન દીપકની જ્યોતથી આપણે આપણો આત્મદીપ પ્રદીપ્ત કરીએ અને આ અતિવિષમ ભવચક્રવ્યુહથી મુક્ત થઈએ તે જ આ સંકેતચિહ્ન તૈયાર કરવા પાછળની પ્રકૃષ્ટ  ભાવના છે.
